New Name, Same Great Experience

Dear Valued Guests,

After two decades of being a KOA franchise, we want to notify you that on May 3, 2021, our franchise agreement with KOA ended. Coinciding with this process, our resort name and logo must also change. As a premier Sun RV Resorts destination, we are excited to introduce Sun Outdoors Association Island as our new resort name.

Current 2021 reservations will be honored and future reservations can be made by visiting www.associationisland.com or calling (800) 393-4189. Your resort experience will not be impacted with this change. Aside from the KOA branding being removed from the property, everything you love about the property will remain at Association Island.

Together with the gracious spirit of our guests, Association Island will continue its resort traditions, events and activities while delivering the great outdoor experience you’ve come to know over the years. We have initiated plans to upgrade several areas on the property which you will notice gradually over the
next couple of years.

You will soon be seeing more Sun resort destinations across the United States and Canada featuring the Sun Outdoors name. Each provides the same quality and service you expect. If you have any questions regarding this change, please email associationisland@suncommunities.com.

Thank you for making Sun Outdoors Association Island your vacation destination. We look forward to hosting you again. Safe travels.

Sincerely,

Jeffrey A. Clark
Resort Manager

We had the wonderful opportunity staying at Association Island KOA in the past. I pray the standards won’t change under this new ownership. The area is pristine and stunning and I hope it remains that way. Best of luck.

We Absolutely Love Association Island Campground! We are from Canada, & are a tad concerned that the rates will not offer any rewards in the future which is a bIg Thing, especially where we already lose so much $$ due to act he Canadian Dollar losing 30 cents on the US Dollar.

We stay at Association Island over 30 days or more a season & would love to continue as soon as the boarders are open. The KOA Rewards made the Points so valuable & the sting of losing so much money on the dollar, less harsh.

Are you planning on doing something reward wise…after so many stays, next night free? Or Each visit worth so many points & X number of points get you free night?,

Hi Maggie,

We do have plans in the future to implement a loyalty program for Sun Outdoors properties for our guests. As soon as the border opens and you still have concerns about your KOA points, please contact the resort directly to speak with the Manager.

Thank you!
